Amazon Web Services or simply AWS is a cloud service provider which has been around since 2004. It is also currently the leading cloud platform in the world. AWS offers a handful of features. It can deploy virtual infrastructure which essentially acts as an environment that provides support for your applications. It can also host your application, making it much easier to launch your own app. And lastly, it can empower your application with hundreds of powerful services.
SDK for Delphi
In this video, from the recently concluded Dev Days of Summer 2024, Richard Hatherall of Appercept will walk us through the process of how to effectively empower your applications with AWS. With the help of Amazon web service, it can really boost both the performance and capability of your Delphi projects, whether it is Windows application development or a cross-platform. Fortunately, Delphi users don’t have to worry about implementing AWS on their application in Delphi because of SDK. SDK for Delphi allows the developer to work with Amazon Web Service and use the services they offer. This lets the Delphi developers build their solutions with the implementation of AWS and its services.
Generally, SDK (Software Development Kit) for Delphi is a collection of tools, libraries, documentation, and samples that allows developers to create applications using the Delphi programming language and environment.
In this session, Richard Hatherall will help us understand AWS better and how can we take advantage of its powerful features to empower our Delphi applications. Some of the features highlighted in this video include Amazon Cognito, Amazon Polly, Amazon Textract, Amazon Translate, Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3), and more. Hatherall will also provide demos for each feature to showcase how each works.
The video will also walk us through the list of services supported by AWS as well as the general feature of SDK for Delphi
