A lot of great things are about to happen for Delphi users, especially now that RAD Studio 12 Athens has been released. RAD Studio 12 Athens is an enormous release by Embarcadero, providing a vast array of new features and improvements. The release notes were nearly 250 pages long and the launch webinar took 2 and a half hours which only indicates that there are a lot of things to expect in the latest version of the IDEソフトウェア. In line with the release of RAD Studio 12, there will be a series of webinars that will showcase its new features and capabilities and take new and improving users through various tasks like creating cross-platform apps which work on iOS, Android, Linux, macOS, and Windows.

What is the Winter Webinar series?

The webinars are hosted by Ian Barker and there is no better way to start this campaign than by giving us an overview of what RAD Studio is and what are the things we could expect from its latest version. In this video, Ian Barker introduces us to RAD Studio and why it has become a top choice for both beginners and professional developers. Barker described RAD Studio as a complete system for creating modern applications that work on all sorts of computers and mobile devices. It uses an easy-to-learn programming language and a simple drag-and-drop screen design system, two great factors that make RAD Studio a beginner-friendly IDE.

What can you do with RAD Studio?

Using RAD Studio, you can easily create professional apps that work on Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android Phones and tablets, and Linux. It uses two different programming languages: C++ and Delphi. C++ is a high-level language with object-orientation while Delphi is an object Pascal that has been around for a very long time and is relatively much easier to learn. The thing that makes RAD Studio very powerful for beginners is the built-in package manager which gives you access to hundreds of free or trial components, themes, add-ons, extensions, and samples.
